All of us bear in mind the panic and existential dread of the early days of the covid-19 pandemic. The mistrust of others over social distancing. The worry of inadvertently spreading the illness to family members. The frustration over blended indicators from public well being professionals. And, underneath all of it, a sense of helplessness as we anxiously awaited a vaccine.
