Formula E unveils racing car made from electronic waste

A racing automobile made out of digital waste has been unveiled by British System E racing workforce Envision Racing. The drivable automobile, named Recuperate-e, was unveiled on the ExCeL exhibition centre in London forward of the town’s e-prix race on 30 July, the ultimate race of the 2022/23 System E season.

Envision Racing teamed up with artist and designer Liam Hopkins to design and construct the automobile from donated digital merchandise, together with iPhones, chargers, batteries and single-use vapes.

Annual e-waste manufacturing is on observe to succeed in 75 million tonnes globally by 2030, with the UK producing the second largest quantity as a rustic in 2022.
