A loud glashing drone might maintain bats away from wind generators, which kill hundreds of thousands of the flying mammals annually.

“When individuals first began to note that animals had been getting hit by wind generators, the main focus was actually on birds,” says Yuval Werber on the College of Haifa in Israel. “It took a number of years longer to grasp that bats had been getting hit, and through these few years quite a lot of wind farms had been being constructed.”
